- Minimum of four runners per team, no maximum.
- Teams may compete on the 5K course only.
- Team runners are also timed as individuals
and may receive prizes for their individual performance.
- Teams may register in the following categories:
Female Student: Greek/Dorm;
Female Student: Other;
Male Student: Greek/Dorm;
Male Student: Other;
Co-Ed Student (RSO) Co-Ed Student (non-RSO) UW Staff/Faculty;
- Corporate Teams will be entered into all
eligible competitions automatically based on the category
they select. Here are some examples:
1) The Phi Gamma Delta house registers
as a "Male Student: Greek/Dorm" team. They
are automatically entered into the "Fastest Male
Student Team", "Fastest Greek/Dorm Team",
and "Most Participants-Student Team" competitions.
They can win all three prizes.
2) The College of Arts and Sciences
registers as a "UW Staff/Faculty" team. They
are automatically entered into the "Fastest UW
Staff/Faculty Team" and "Most Participants-UW
Staff/Faculty" competitions. They can win both
prizes.
- Winning teams receive team photos with
Harry Husky, mailed to the team captain. Photos to be taken
at the Post Dash Bash.
MOST PARTICIPANTS
- UW Staff/Faculty
A staff/faculty team must represent
a recognized department, school, college, or non-academic
staff unit. All walkers and runners
must be either:
1) Currently employed
UW faculty/staff in the same unit
2) Family of currently employed UW faculty/staff
in the same unit
- Corporate
Teams with greater than 15 participants will
receive recognition over the intercom at the award ceremony and a photograph
of team members with Harry Husky.
- UW Student
All walkers and runners must be either:
1) Currently enrolled UW
students
2) Family of currently enrolled UW students
- RSO Teams
FASTEST TEAM
- Co-Ed Student Team
· Top four times only are averaged for team time
· Team must have a minimum of two men and two women.
The top two times from each gender will be used when calculating
team time.
· All runners must be currently enrolled UW students
- Male Student Team
· Top four times only are averaged for team time
· All runners must be currently enrolled UW students
- Female Student Team
· Top four times only are averaged for team time
· All runners must be currently enrolled UW students
- UW Staff/Faculty
· Top four times only are averaged for team time

living in or belonging to a recognized UW dormitory or fraternity.
· Prize: winning team receives the Dawg Dash Cup;
name of team on plaque in the HUB, photo and name of team
on Dawg Dash Web site.
DAWG DASH CUP
For the third year, the UWAA is proud to award
the Dawg Dash Cup to the fastest male and female Greek/Dorm
teams. The Dawg Dash Cup is a perpetual trophy, residing in
the residence of the winning team for the duration of the school
year. At the end of the school year, the UWAA will collect the
trophy and hold it until the next Dawg Dash.
