COURSE DETAILS (course
is subject to change upon final approval)
Starting in Husky Stadium, both the 5K and 10K courses
will loop up onto the UW campus and travel along the
scenic trails and roads of the school. As runners
approach Drumheller Fountain, they will be greeted by
the familiar sounds of the UW Alumni Band. After
taking their respective routes, both the 5K and 10K will
then return to Husky Stadium for the finish.
COURSE MAP
The Dawg Dash features a
moderately challenging course, with both the 5K and
10K courses beginning and finishing inside Husky

COURSE NOTES:
The course includes several sharp turns which may cause
difficulties for wheelchairs.
Participants with strollers or dogs are required to
start at the rear.
Strollers and/or wheelchairs will need to make a minor
detour in order to avoid stairs at the foot of the
bridge over Montlake Blvd. (crossing from the area in
front of Hec Edmundson Pavilion to the Burke-Gilman
Trail). There is a ramp available at the foot of the
bridge.
A medical team is stationed along the course and at the
finish line area
TIMING
The Dawg Dash will be timed using the Winning Chip
technology. All participants must wear a chip in order
to appear in the results. Chips must be returned at the
conclusion of the event, or a fee of $30 will be issued
for each unreturned chip.
DOGS
What better way to run the Dawg Dash then with your
own dog. Dogs are welcome this year, but be sure to be
considerate to those runners and walkers around you. Be
sure to have your dog on a leash and keep him/her well
supervised. No dogs are allowed on the turf of Husky
Stadium.
