Competing as a team is a fun and
engaging way to enjoy the Dawg Dash. You
and your friends, co-workers or
roommates can run or walk together as a
team and compete for great prizes.
Prizes will be awarded to the largest
team in each category listed below and
to the largest team overall. Build
camaraderie and compete against other
teams or do it just for fun.
Largest Team Challenge Categories:
Largest Corporate Team
Largest Community Team
Largest UW Department/College/School
Team
Largest Fraternity Team
Largest Sorority Team
Largest Residence Hall Team
Largest Independents Team
The largest teams in each of the listed
categories will win a framed photo of
their team with Harry the Husky taken at
the Post Dash Bash. All teams with 20 or
more people will also be mentioned at
the Post Dash Bash and will also have
the opportunity to have their pictures
taken with Harry the Husky after all of
the largest team winners are
announced.
Corporate Teams: Corporate team
members must work at or be relatives of
employees from the same business.
Community Teams: Team members for
this category are from the general
public or are a combination of any team
categories listed on this page.
UW Department/College/School Teams:
Team members must be UW staff, faculty
or students from the same recognized
department, college, or school. Family
members of UW Department/College/School
team members may participate on the said
team.
Fraternity Teams:
Team members must be active members of a
current University of Washington Greek
System fraternity organization. Teams
made up of UW fraternity alumni need to
enter the Community Team competition.
Sorority Teams:
Team members must be active members of a
current University of Washington Greek
System sorority organization. Teams made
up of UW sorority alumni need to enter
the Community Team competition.
Residence Hall Teams:
Team members must currently be living in
one the University of Washington
residence hall that their team
represents. Multiple teams from the same
residence hall are allowed but forming
one team is highly recommended. Teams
made up of UW residence hall alumni need
to enter the Community Team competition.
Independents Teams:
Team members in this category must not
live in any of the UW residence halls or
Greek System houses. Typically, teams in
this category are made up of people who
live off campus in the same group house,
apartment complex, residence.
HOW TO CREATE A TEAM:
1) Recruit a group of friends,
co-workers, or colleagues for one of the
listed team categories above.
2) Select a Team Captain to coordinate
your registration.
3) Have all team members complete a
printed 2007 Dawg Dash entry form.
4) Have the team captain collect all
team member entry forms and entry fees
and submit them together at once via
mail or in person at one of our in-store
registration locations. Teams may also
register online via the Dawg Dash
registration link without the need of
registering all at once but in order to
be counted, registrants must enter and
spell their team name correctly.
NOTE: All team entry forms & entry
fees must be submitted together and be
received by October 12th, 2007. No teams
or team entries will be accepted on the
day of the event.
