John Curley's racing Fremont:

Solid Ground & FamilyWorks

We are proud to have Solid Ground and the FamilyWorks Food Bank as our event benefactors this year. Along with a per/participant cash donation that we will make to Solid Ground, we are also excited to support the FamilyWorks food bank by tweaking the rules of our Briefcase Relay event. Similar to 2009, each relay team will need to carry 5 cans of food inside their briefcases that will then be donated to FamilyWorks at the event finish line.

You can learn about Solid Ground and FamilyWorks below:

Solid Ground (formerly the Fremont Public Association) is 30 programs that give 30,000 families a year in King County the services, resources and support they need to overcome homelessness, hunger, domestic violence and other traumas associated with poverty. Learn more at: www.solid-ground.org

FamilyWorks, a Wallingford based food bank and family center, nourishes and strengthens individuals and families by connecting people with support, resources and community. Learn more at www.familyworksseattle.org.

Please consider making a cash donation to either of these non-profits via their websites or our event registration form. Please also consider bringing extra cans of food to this year's Fremont 5K & Briefcase Relay event.
